WWE is the biggest wrestling promotion on the planet today, but the number one Japanese promotion may well be the hottest. NJPW has had a barnstorming start to 2017, elevating talent and putting on a run of main event classics that rivals any other run in history. It all began with Okada and Omega's six star classic at Wrestle Kingdom 11 - and the King of Sports hasn't slowed down since.

New Japan's success comes with a caveat however - the threat of another WWE talent raid. The beginning of 2016 saw four major names jump ship, and any major New Japan success sees fans hypothesise about its performers turning up in NXT and on the WWE main roster.

What if the talent was going the other way? Some of the biggest names in WWE could well fit into New Japan's world like fingers into a glove. The grass may well be greener on the other side for the following ten wrestlers.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
