11 Big Ways WWE WrestleMania 32 Has Changed

10. A New Match For The Undertaker

Industry experts had pegged The Undertaker versus Brock Lesnar as one of the main events at WrestleMania 32. It made sense. The pair had been entered into a trilogy, beginning at WrestleMania 30, with Brock's shock win over Taker's undefeated streak. They met again at SummerSlam in August 2015, with the deadman getting the win back via an apparent heel turn. That set up the grand finale, which was meant to be Taker's big homecoming in Texas at Mania 32. But it won't be happening. WWE announced that the third instalment will in fact be this October, at Hell In A Cell. The reasons for abandoning the Mania 32 idea were numerous. The creative was befuddled and the feud didn't feel like it was strong enough to carry all the way to April. Throw in the fact that Network subs and Raw viewership are down already in the always low fall season, and it clearly made sense to put Taker and Lesnar in October. So what now for The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32? Sting would have been a strong option, but his performance and injury at Night Of Champions have probably killed that chance. Which leaves us with John Cena. He's the one big headlining match outside of Lesnar and Sting that Undertaker could do co-main event with. It very well could be Cena versus Undertaker next April, two huge stars in a match that has never happened in a major context.
