A Brock Lesnar vs. Braun Strowman match feels somewhat inevitable, and it is heavily rumoured to happen at SummerSlam 2017. On the surface it is clear why WWE wants this match - Lesnar would find himself at a physical disadvantage, and Strowman would get the experience of working with a once in a generation talent. It's a win-win, surely?

Not quite. By booking Lesnar vs. Strowman, WWE will be walking a tightrope that they may not be able to successfully negotiate. All signs point to Reigns/Lesnar II taking place in the main event of WrestleMania 34, and as such a Lesnar win here is a given. Does he demolish Strowman and move on? Does Strowman dominate the match only for Lesnar to get a couple of well-timed shots in to finish him off?

Regardless of the issues that come with the match, the aesthetic of Lesnar vs. Strowman will be enough to attract curiosity and will lead to some truly striking images. It will also be a clear indicator of WWE wanting to get behind Strowman.

The Monster Among Men won't be winning the WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam - but he may well give The Beast Incarnate the fright of his life.
