11 Reasons WWE And Sting Are Having Problems

Sting and WWE are at a difficult point.

Sting and WWE are having a difficult time as they approach the one year anniversary of his debut. The WCW Icon is currently out injured, and it was notable this week that WWE didn't include him in a highlight package of Survivor Series 2014. Bryan Alavrez speculated on Wrestling Observer Radio that something could be up, stating that maybe we could hear something later this week. It is speculation on Alvarez's part, but it was certainly odd not to feature Sting on the Raw recap of last year's Survivor Series. So, what's going on? The following will analyse why WWE and Sting are having problems, getting to the roots of why they are potentially at an impasse right now.

11. A Vince McMahon Disconnect

If there's trouble between a wrestler and the WWE, it is usually the case that Vince McMahon is near the epicentre of the storm. From day one, he's seemingly missed the point of Sting. Indeed, it was Triple H who negotiated Sting's WWE deal and built the initial plans around him. Hence why it was Hunter versus Sting at Mania. After that match, Vince commented on an investor call that the WWE made Sting after taking him "from obscurity." That shows a disconnect between Vince and Sting. Perhaps the Chairman was further nonplussed after the WCW Icon's showing at Night Of Champions. Maybe that's why Sting's WWE future is in doubt, as McMahon may have decided it just isn't working.
