12 Ups & 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Feb 5)

Downs...

3. ... The Hell Was This?

There are no major Downs in this week's column. Each of these complaints is minor, inoffensive, and soon-to-be-forgotten, but they still need to be pointed out. This wasn't a perfect show.

Paige's re-emergence was weird, with the former General Manager sitting around somewhere backstage, thanking the audience for not forgetting about her... even though her last appearance was less than two months ago.

Whoever wrote this stunted skit had her say "that's incredible," as if they assume their viewers have goldfish-like attention spans. Then, of course, it drifted into the real reason Paige was back on SmackDown: a Fighting With My Family trailer that could've been aired without the weirdly scripted introduction.

Congratulations, WWE, on making your former GM chat like a malfunctioning robot.
