Jason Jordan and Chad Gable may be full of smiles and enthusiasm when making their limited appearances on Smackdown Live! and sister show Talking Smack, but the duo have to be hugely disappointed with how their main roster tenure has been so far.

Despite a months-long run with the newly-formed Smackdown Tag Team titles, the talented duo have been barely spotlighted since their July airlift from NXT.

The tandem were an instant hit in the developmental brand, forming in the summer of 2015 and racing the through the division en route to dethroning The Revival in a scintillating contest at TakeOver: Dallas in April.

It would prove to be their last great moment.

Dropping the gold back to Dash and Dawson and putting over the Authors of Pain on their way out, the Alpha's hadn't lost any momentum at surface level, but the hot start they needed on Tuesday nights failed to materialise.

The title run looked little more than a token gesture, and ended ignominiously in defeat against The Usos two weeks before WrestleMania. Even that result was meaningless, as both teams ended up as nothing more than Andre The Giant Battle Royal fodder.
