14 Dream Matches If CM Punk Returns To WWE

CM Punk's UFC future is in doubt.

There's an irony about the timing of CM Punk's WWE exit in January 2014. It happened just as the company was changing towards a philosophy that more closely resembled Punk's in-ring ethos. If he had stuck around, chances are he'd have really benefited from the evolution in the business. Even more ironically, it was Punk's nemesis Triple H who put into motion the big changes we've seen in the last eighteen months. Hunter brought about a more in-ring focused style and backed it up by signing a plethora of reputable indie wrestlers. Punk could have had a string of five star matches and heated mic segments with several of Hunter's signings. He's now training for a fight in the UFC, but the MMA community are already questioning if the fight is ever going to happen. It was provisionally booked for December 2015, but Punk has now cooled expectations and said that he needs to complete at least a year of training. That has made some fans wonder if he isn't quite cutting it in his training camp. With a fight now unlikely until the summer of 2016, UFC is seeing his name value plummet. There's a chance that he could be cut before ever even stepping in the Octagon. On the bright side, if he was to leave UFC and return to WWE, there are several dream matches that he could make a lot of money with.
