14 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dynamite (16 Oct)

Ups...

14. A Fitting Compromise

Jungle Boy Marko Stunt Lucha Brothers
AEW/Lee South

News that Luchasaurus was injured and wouldn't be able to compete on Dynamite hit like a brick to the face. Jurassic Express' big monster has been insanely fun since debuting and his hot tag is one of the best spots in wrestling right now, so it was hard not to feel disappointed whether you read the news online, or heard Excalibur's explanation on the show.

Regardless, while going from Luchasaurs to Marko Stunt is a downgrade, it's outwith AEW's hands and can't be considered a Down here. It wasn't anybody's fault. Instead, credit to them for making a quick compromise and throwing Stunt into the match rather than cancelling. This was, admittedly, the obvious choice, but Marko is a lively, entertaining performer himself, and brought a totally different dynamic.
