15 Future WWE Hall Of Fame Headliners

Who can WWE count on to deliver on the most prestigious show of the year?

The WWE Hall Of Fame began as a tribute to Andre The Giant just weeks after his passing in 1993 and has grown to become a fairly-respected institution recognizing all of professional wrestling's greatest contributors. A few of those inductees are no doubt, surefire, "first ballot" (if the WWE had a voting process and ballots to go along with it) Hall Of Famers. Even fewer of those contributors are marquee names that are capable of headlining the ceremony, drawing thousands of ticket sales. After all, the Hall Of Fame is more of a show now than it ever has been before and, like every other event that WWE puts on throughout the year, the final act must be worth the wait. Superstars like Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, and The Ultimate Warrior are examples of those prestigious contributors that have become headlining Hall Of Famers, but as the years go by, many wrestling fans and insiders have debated whether or not there is a cause for concern. Many have claimed that the WWE are "running out" of big-time, marquee names to induct that would validate the top spot of the evening. Are there enough future Hall Of Fame main-eventers left? Fear not, wrestling fans, as I present to you 15 future WWE Hall Of Famers, excluding full-time active talent, that are more than qualified to headline the company's most prestigious event of the year.

15. nWo

In 2012, WWE made a decision that really set the stage for what the company could do with HOF inductions in future years when they inducted the Four Horsemen. This move was groundbreaking in that it was the first time a group or stable or faction, whatever your preferred term is, received the honor, and the inductees were no longer limited to merely individual competitors or tag teams. It's fitting that the Four Horsemen were the first to go in as a group, but there are plenty of other groups deserving of the honor. When considering the drawing power of some of wrestling's most influential stables, the nWo is at the top of the list. The original trio of Scott Hall, Kevin Nash and Hollywood Hogan would be the premier recipients wiith each man receiving their second Hall Of Fame ring. If and when the WCW-invaders do take their place, as a group, in the WWE Hall Of Fame, how could it be anything else but the main attraction of the evening?

14. D-Generation X

Speaking of the New World Order, without the nWo, there would be no D-Generation X. As years go by, it becomes more and more difficult to mention one group without the other, but there is one major difference between these two factions and it absolutely affects the way they are presented throughout the long narrative of WWE history. One group was a Vince McMahon creation and the other was created by Eric Bischoff. If time and history have told us anything about how Vince McMahon handles any WWE vs. WCW angle, it's that WWE always wins. Because of this, D-Generation X has always received more exposure than their trailblazing, southern counterpart, and it's the reason why, if the New World Order was to headline a future Hall Of Fame, Shawn Michaels and Triple H (and most likely X-Pac, Road Dogg, and Billy Gunn) would not be far behind. In fact, given the recent run of Kliq moments at the annual event, and DX's favorable Kliq members ratio, they're more than likely to one-up the nWo.
