15 Longest Times Spent In A Royal Rumble Match

Could a new longevity record be set at the 2015 supershow?

Careers can be made the Royal Rumble. Indeed, many WWE superstars have had career best performances at the January event. John Cena had (at that point) possibly his best match ever against Umaga in a Last Man Standing match at the 2007 Rumble. Dolph Ziggler proved to everyone that he belonged in the main event during his matches with Edge and CM Punk in 2011 and 2012. And has Mick Foley ever looked better than he did during his street fight with Triple H in 2000? As one of the biggest shows of the year, the Rumble presents wrestlers with the opportunity (and boy do WWE love that word) to really make an impact. The Rumble match itself is one of the most anticipated of the year and many legendary WWE have taken place within its confines over the years. One way that a wrestler can boost their stock is by lasting as long as possible in the Rumble match. Having Rumble longevity can be used by WWE as a way to promote and put over a particular wrestler. How many times have you heard 'so and so lasted an impressive (insert number here) in the Rumble last night'. They might not have won the thing but managing to prolong the inevitable is still seen as a bragging right.
