15 Possible WWE DVD Titles For 2016

A Shane McMahon DVD feature? He deserves one.

The DVD/Blu-Ray business is still a profitable venture for WWE even though home video sales aren't what they used to. WWE does a great job of putting out material on a regular basis and recently, they issued a list of possible titles via Fan Council survey for potential future releases. All of these are possible for 2016. Here they are with quick thoughts on each possibility as well. Iron Man Matches - There haven't been that many of them, but there are some great ones, particularly Bret Hart vs Shawn Michaels, Triple H vs The Rock and Kurt Angle vs Brock Lesnar. One Iron Man match that would likely be absent would be Triple H vs Chris Benoit from Raw 2004. Shane McMahon - He deserves one. Shane was a key part of WWE TV for nearly a decade from the late 1990s through the 2000s. A DVD/documentary about his WWE career would be really cool to see. Best of Superstars - There's probably not a lot of great material or interest for it. Superstars is not a hit WWE show although it was okay pre-Raw. Randy Orton - Orton has already had several DVDs. It would likely just be a collection of matches since they've already done documentaries about his life. Hardcore - It might sell well if they did. Assuming it's not the Hardcore Title, they would have a lot of great violent matches to pick from. Divas Biography - Judging from the title, I assume that means they would do a documentary about women's wrestling in WWE. That could be fun. Lots of matches to pick too. The History of the U.S. Championship - That would be really good. There are many great US Title matches from the NWA/WCW days that made the belt prestigious. A documentary feature would be good too. The Usos - Their WWE careers haven't been that long. However, they are very popular with the younger crowd. The Best of RAW & SmackDown '15 - They usually do a DVD like this every year, so it's probably going to happen. Best PPV Matches '15 - This kind of DVD is something WWE normally produces as well. It's a good one to pick up. The Miz & Mizdow - Is there enough material? Maybe they could put the funny moments on one DVD. It wouldn't need to be much more than that. Stardust - Same as above. He hasn't been doing the gimmick for that long, so there's not that much material they could use. The Best of NXT - Great idea. WWE needs to promote the NXT brand more. Putting a DVD featuring the best matches and segments from NXT over the last few years could easily lead to an awesome three set DVD. Unreleased Matches - With a title like that it's intriguing. It could be something like house show matches or some matches taped after Raw and/or Smackdown are over. There are all kinds possibilities. Total Divas Season 1 - A lot of us may cringe at the idea of Total Divas, but it's been good for WWE. You can find all the episodes on WWE Network already. There are still some fans that might be interested in it. That's it for the list. As mentioned, these are for DVDs they might produce for the 2016 calendar year. They like to plan very far in advance.
