If you were to make a list of the most talked about wrestlers of 2016 thus far, Shinsuke Namakura's name would easily be among the top five, a list that would also include Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar and AJ Styles.

Since making the surprising move to leave his familiar home turf of New Japan Pro Wrestling and restart his career in the foreign - and much smaller - environment of NXT, Nakamura has met every lofty expectation the fans have set for him. From his amazing debut match against Sami Zayn at TakeOver: Dallas to his most recent clash with Finn Balor, "The King of Strong Style" has captivated fans with equal doses of tremendous ring work and charisma.

The Japanese icon sat down with Chris Jericho the day after their match with one another at a WWE live event in Tokyo for Nakamura's first lengthy media appearance since making the move to the United States. It was an entertaining listen, if a bit challenging due to English not being Shinsuke's native language, so read on to find out what we learned from the man many have pegged as one of WWE's next big superstars.

We open with Chris calling Shinsuke the "biggest Japanese star to come to America in many, many years" and wants to know what it's like for him to be back in Japan.

Nakamura thanks Jericho for the previous night's bout between the two, and Chris says it was a homecoming of sorts for the both of them. Shinsuke says that Jericho understands the difference in the Japanese audience.

Chris says that he had been asking Michael Hayes, who is responsible for booking the house shows, for the opportunity to wrestle Nakamura on the Tokyo show and the Freebird was non-committal, but after repeated changes to the card the two were finally booked together.

Shinksuke says it was strange for him to be back wrestling there in front of the same people while employed with a different company, but adds that AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson echoed those sentiments.
