20 Iconic Shawn Michaels Images You Need To See

A look at some of the pictures that make fans love The Heartbreak Kid.

Shawn Michaels is arguably the greatest all around performer in World Wrestling Entertainment. He's a guy that never left WWE after starting out as a troublesome rocker in the late 1980s until rising the ranks as a top guy. When he lost the WWE Title to Steve Austin at WrestleMania 14 in 1998 we figured that was his last match due to a major back injury. Surgery soon followed. Four years later he was back in the ring looking like he never left. It was one of the most improbable comebacks in wrestling history. He ended up staying for eight years before retiring in 2010. There are a lot of classic moments in Shawn's career that wrestling fans will never forget. He's a guy that many of us grew up with because we saw him start at the bottom and make it to the top in a business that was full of giants and freaks. Guys that 6 feet tall and 220 pounds like Michaels didn't usually make it to the top. Michaels did. Not only that, but he became the icon, the showstopper and the main event that has more classic matches than anybody in WWE history. The image above is from WrestleMania 12 when Michaels won the WWE Title for the first time. WWE did a great job of telling his story and when Vince McMahon yelled that a "boyhood dream has come true for Shawn Michaels" it was a moment that none of us are ever going to forget. Here's a look at 20 iconic images of "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels. The order will go from the earlier part of his carer to the more present day.
