19. Bayley Vs. Alexa Bliss (Extreme Rules 2017)

A match between two performers as talented as Alexa Bliss and Bayley shouldn't really belong on a list like this, but here we are.

Their 'Kendo Stick On A Pole' bout was one of the most destructive pieces of booking to escape a WWE creative meeting in years. It was built entirely around Bayley - the perennial do-gooder - and her reticence to attack Bliss with the stick, making for a slow, stodgy layout that wasn't at all conducive to exciting action, and delivered a most epic burial of a marketable babyface commodity.

The ordeal painted Bayley as a meek, overawed challenger, strengthening the impression that she didn't belong in the same ring as someone like Bliss, who'd do whatever it took to win. She used the weapon towards the end, but Bayley was too weak to cover. This allowed Alexa to seize control, hit a DDT, and score the pinfall, justifying Bayley's miserable pre-match narrative.

Unbelievably, Bayley is still struggling to recover from this horrendous feud. Rarely have WWE nuked such a popular wrestler so spectacularly.
