20 Wrestling Facts You Probably Didn't Know

20. Eddie Guerrero's Name Was Eddy

One of the most common errors made amongst writers for wrestling is also one of the simplest to correct. Eduardo Gory Guerrero is abbreviated to Eddy, not Eddie.

The clue is noticing that his close friend Chris Jericho calls him Eddy in his books. Further investigation proves that Latino Heat spelled it that way himself, subscribing to the Wrestling Observer under that name. The WWF/E even used the right spelling at first, before changing it.

It's not something any Guerrero superfan should beat themselves up over, of course. Even Vickie (Vicky?) Guerrero spells it the other way when tweeting about him.
