Ziggler? SummerSlam main event? You can't be serious, Jeff...

Imagine waking up as Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan on Tuesday morning... imagine being tasked with following THAT episode of Monday Night RAW. If I was them, I would have probably walked down into my garage, closed and then sealed all the exits before turning my car engine on. The fumes and whatnot would have taken care of the rest.

That's how good RAW was this week. SmackDown, with the players they have available, was almost guaranteed to fall short in the early stages of of this new rivalry between the brands.

Since I'm writing this introduction after getting my first taste of Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon's SmackDown Live, I can tell you it did so and then some.

Yes there was a shock in the main event that I will be covering later, but the rest of the show was forgettable. Nothing much else of note really happened. The blue brand has got a long way to go in a very short space of time or it will be RAW's b*tch for the rest of time.

I've been looking forward to covering this episode after JBL was taken away from my Monday nights. Here's all the WTF Moments from the second ever SmackDown Live. Make sure you check out the video version of this article on WhatCulture Wrestling's YouTube channel.

I know a labelled this accusation at Stephanie McMahon and Mick Foley on RAW but it really is true in terms of the SmackDown leaders... really.

Remember when the management of both shows told us the New Era would be all about the Superstars rather than themselves? Well RAW's team of Mick Foley and Stephanie delivered on that promise by only appearing in the opening segment, but Shane and Daniel were centre stage at key moments in the evening.

They opened the show live just like their Monday night counterparts but both wormed their way into the closing segment too with a celebrating Dolph Ziggler, something that was rather needless in my book. Both Dan and Shane got their own entrances and everything. It was all about them and took a large portion of the spotlight away from Dolph.

I don't care how popular the GM and Commissioner may be, it goes against one of their promises and I don't like folk I can't trust.

New Era, same old sh*t on SmackDown at least.
