WWE expected Goldberg chants in Lesnar's hometown...

Even though we're just six days away from Hell In A Cell the main issue heading into this week's WWE RAW surrounded Survivor Series, a duel pay per view that is still a month away. RAW focussing on a duel brand PPV that comes after their own exclusive one?! I think we have our first WTF Moment from this week's show, folks...

Brock Lesnar was scheduled to make an appearance in order to give a response to Goldberg's passionate promo from last week's spectacular return. Given that the match was already signed, sealed but not quite delivered, the purpose of the promo wasn't entirely clear. What could he possibly say that would develop the storyline of selling a video game on further?

Of course, with RAW's next Network Special a few days away, the billed triple main event would be sure to take centre stage. And of course, once again, the RAW Women's Championship match between Sasha Banks and Charlotte - who is now being addressed as Charlotte Flair all of a sudden for some reason - taking the centre spot of that stage. Hopefully the creative team will make sure the fact their feud is fitting of a HIAC match and everything that comes with the match, rather than painting it as some sort of token gesture, as has been the case in recent times, is put over.

Here are all the WTF Moments from WWE RAW...

22. "Brock Lesnar Is Here To Respond To Goldberg"

We all know what this really means. WWE can't be pulling the wool over our eyes after the last few years of non-Brock Lesnar promos. What this sentence really means is Brock Lesnar will stand next to Paul Heyman while the advocate speaks, doing something The Beast isn't capable of. During this time, Brock will bounce up and down like a dog with an itchy arse.

While we talking about this promo, we might as well deal with the biggest issue on hand. Did WWE forget they were in Brock's hometown when they planned Paul Heyman to cut a promo geared to elicit a positive response for Goldberg? It was clear for all to see that Paul was trying to get a lot of positivity for Bill to flow throughout the arena, which he would then shoot down, but it didn't happen. We even had chants of "Goldberg sucks" from the WWE Universe in attendance which went completely against the script.

So WWE carted out the heel, if you had to choose one of them to be the heel in this rivalry it would be Brock, of the piece out in his hometown and tried to get the face over... Baffling call and a complete misreading of the fans at the show.

Needless to say, the segment fell flat with The Beast and his advocate seemingly giving up on the promo and getting out of dodge as quickly as possible. It looked like they called an audible and decided to call an end to an absolute abomination of a segment.

What a mess...
