The amount of times WWE seemingly changed plans with the women are literally countless. The plan all along appeared to be Sasha Banks winning the Raw Women's Championship from Charlotte Flair as WrestleMaina 32, but WWE decided to continue along with Charlotte's push and delay Banks' big moment until SummerSlam.

That was all fine and dandy, but they pushed her title win ahead to the first Raw of the "New Era" in July, only to have her drop the belt at SummerSlam the following month in a surprising move. That would be a pattern throughout their feud that saw Banks beat Charlotte for the title on Raw and then lose it back to her longtime rival on pay-per-view.

In so many words, The Boss couldn't win when it mattered most, solidifying her as a glorified loser in the process. Granted, Charlotte benefited big and had a stellar year, but each of Banks' title wins were flukes because she never once successfully defended her title. Perhaps a much-needed heel turn and a move to SmackDown Live could change Banks' fortunes because 2016 was not what it should have been, including the number of injuries she suffered as well.
