Now that the huge scripted PPV with ridiculous characters and outrageous pageantry is over with it's time to get back to the real business of WWE. No, not SummerSlam, that monstrous overblown spectacle in Las Vegas where Floyd Mayweather was somehow able to win a knock off Million Dollar Championship belt.
Naturally, that event had almost as many reverberations in the WWE world as SummerSlam did, but hopefully only one of them will have any bearing on the next WrestleMania. Because everything that happens now will be focused on that next big tentpole - there's no time to rest and recuperate.
With that in mind, the news has been all about John Cena putting Roman Reigns over on Raw, Brock Lesnar putting Roman Reigns over at WrestleMania, a new push for Randy Orton and the scrapping of the latest supposed Superstar shake-up. Death, taxes and WWE consistency are all you can bank on.
