Stumbles on the road to WrestleMania aren't exactly unprecedented, but you really have to imagine that WWE weren't particularly impressed with the fan reaction to the Fastlane PPV, if they actually spend any time paying attention to social media. Sure, it got a lot of attention, but it's hard not to see it as a PPV low point in recent history.

Luckily, the river of WWE-related news means the product continues to move on even as the complaints stay loud and clear. This week has seen rumours of Goldberg's post-Mania exit, confirmation that Roman Reigns isn't turning heel any time soon and that Daniel Bryan might be back in a wrestling ring in 2018.

Elsewhere there was news that Bully Ray almost debuted in WWE after the Dudley Boyz left, and that Matt Hardy is ready to take his battle for the copyright of Broken Matt Hardy to the mat. Well, the court. That should make for interesting viewing.

And in news that could cause huge reverberations around the world of WWE social media, the company future endeavoured a number of their social team. It's a tough time, but hopefully they'll bring in some part-time legends to ease the period of transition and we won't see any real change to John Cena posting memes endlessly.

This was the week in WWE Instagram...

25. Trips In The Ring

Hail to the part timers!

Since it's getting into the serious business of WrestleMania season, it's also time for Triple H to show that he's not just a suit. He made his return to the ring at WWE Toronto this week looking in seriously intimidating shape.
