On the road to Extreme...

With Extreme Rules the closest next stop on the WWE PPV calendar, this week has seen the rest of the year's events mapped out, including the revelation that Toronto will finally give Canada a much-requested chance at hosting a PPV. Can we expect the Mountie to return? No, probably not, but it's nice to dream silly things.

There's also been confirmation that Stephanie McMahon is set to release a memoir, so we can expect more from her on TV as part of WWE's attempt to groom her more as Vince McMahon's heir. Imagine the number of sneakers it must have taken to get Shane to accept that easily.

Meanwhile, John Cena confirmed that he's hosting the ESPY awards and that he's now 70% in the gym after his surgery. His return should be just around the corner. Will he be joined by Finn Balor or Samoa Joe on the main roster? Apparently their feud will culminate on June 8th with the loser promoted.

And just as WWE have cut their own deal for a condensed version of Raw to air on SyFy every Friday, we're back again with a condensed look at every selfie, self-promotion and shill the WWE talent (active and former) sent out to social media.

This was the week in WWE Instagram...
