Well, well, who would have thought that a WWE Hall Of Famer would ever be President Of The United States? What a time to be alive.
Away from the political world going to hell and people crying in the streets, WWE are doing similarly strange bookings, with Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens set to feud needlessly and Shane McMahon booking a date with danger at WrestleMania 33 thanks to a suggested match with Brock Lesnar. Now, he's got a reputation for extreme spots, but he has to draw the line somewhere, surely?!
Elsewhere, there were further hints of Hulk Hogan's impending return, a suggested date for John Cena's ring return, rumours of exile for Sin Cara and hints that James Ellsworth is about to sign a full-time WWE contract. Forget Mr Trump, that's the biggest upset this year.
And through it all, WWE stars past and present resisted the urge to throw their political hands in the ring on social media, preferring to stay safe with backstage shots, selfies and work-outs.
