3 Ups & 10 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (July 30)

9. A Division For Losers

Raw's tag division is thinner than Arn Anderson's hairline, with lowly duos like the B Team, a greatly diminished Revival, and the only moderately interesting Deleters Of Worlds sleepwalking through bland TV angles every single week. Last night, sadly, was no different.

It began with Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas cutting a promo, daring Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy to come out. The Deleters arrived, but so did The Revival, and this bled into the two would-be contender teams doing battle with the champions on commentary.

There was nothing even remotely interesting about the bout. The action was solid and functional, but routine and devoid of any heat, such is the hatchet job WWE have done on Dash and Dawson in 2018, and the broken shell of a performer Hardy has become. All tepid brawling, plodding movements, and rudimentary teamwork, it was as mailed in as mailed in gets, and nothing anyone needs to go out of their way to see.

A supplemental 'Up' for the outcome, as The Revival scored a much-needed momentum-boosting victory over the former champions. It was the right choice, but not enough to save a blasé match and segment, furthering the division's slide into nothingness.
