After a few weeks of passable episodes, Impact are back on track following this week's showing.

As has been the case as of late, the thrilling action made up for the slightly abysmal storytelling. Take the main event for example. It was another case of the episode being saved by one match, although it wasn't the only positive to come from Friday night's show. When you put The Lucha Bros and The LAX in the ring together, you know exactly what you're going to get - a match of the year contender.

Speaking of men who enjoy a flip or two, we have the X Division. It's no secret that it's in a good state, but this week proved that fact with two entertaining singles bouts. The matches weren't the longest contests of all time, though that doesn't mean the guys involved can't put on a good showing for the time they're out there.

There was nothing majorly negative to report from the evening's action. Eli Drake essentially shrugged off the fact that he was a complete hypocrite on last week's episode, while the neverending rivalry between good and bad had a match that was pointless in hindsight. Minor incidents, but still negative.

All in all, it was quite a fun episode to watch, something that we haven't been able to say about Impact in a few weeks. That's just what they needed with their next special episode coming next week in the form of Uncaged. Let's get to it...
