3 Ups & 3 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Jan 11)

Downs...

3. Abysmal Return

Just when Impact was back on the up, Scott Steiner had to come back and stick his nose into it, didn't he? The worst thing about the whole thing was that he dismantled The Desi Hit Squad. This column has rarely been too high on the DHS but seeing as they're supposed to be being built up, it's not exactly a good thing that they're being taken out by a star of the past.

There was no benefit whatsoever to having Steiner return. It doesn't look like he's sticking around (thankfully), meaning he came in for one night to take out guys who are meant to be future stars, and receive a lap dance from a woman half his age. This column praises Impact as much as it possibly can, however it's incredibly hard to do so when stuff like this happens.

Impact love bringing Big Poppa Pump back for brief stints, for whatever reason. They love him that much that he and Eli Drake ended LAX's first reign as Tag Team Champions back at Redemption. The question 'why?' will never be answered.
