4 Ups & 7 Downs From AEW Dark (Jun 16)

Brandi Rhodes and Allie: friends at last?

QT Marshall Allie
AEW

This wasn't an easy show to get through.

One should never be able to make such a complaint about AEW Dark, really. The web series is supposed to be a fun accompaniment to Dynamite's main course, offering the chance to see those not fortunate enough to make it to the A-show doing their thing in an easily-digestible format. It was that and more for a while, with the much-missed From Undesirable to Undeniable segment bringing necessary character development to neglected figures. Not any more, though - and last night was Dark's new style in its worst form.

11 squash matches featured across the episode's 96 minutes. As usual, the majority had incredibly similar layouts, meaning fans only need to check out the bouts involving the wrestlers they're most interested in.

Amongst those highlighted this week were Scorpio Sky, Penelope Ford, The Dark Order, Jimmy Havoc, Shawn Spears, and Lance Archer. The QT Marshall/Allie saga was continued as QT's new flame teamed with Brandi Rhodes and there was a development in Peter Avalon and Brandon Cutler's race to the bottom as well, which now appears to be nearing a conclusion.

Let's light the fuse...
