4 Ups And 4 Downs From Last Night's WWE Smackdown (Apr 23)

All three former Shield members were in Smackdown's main event this week.

This week's Smackdown was the last TV show before Extreme Rules where there was storyline advance for Sunday's PPV. It was a show that featured two really good tag team matches, which is how Smackdown typically is. There were some key guys missing from the show including number one contender to the WWE Title, Randy Orton. There was also no sign of US Champion John Cena, who is off Smackdown most weeks and no IC Champion Daniel Bryan either because he didn't travel this week due to the injuries he is dealing with. Without some of their biggest babyfaces on the show, WWE decided to reunite the Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose duo for the main event. They took on former Shield member Seth Rollins and his partner Luke Harper in a main event that went 15 minutes. You'll be reading about that one in the "ups" section, that's for sure. These are the match results from this week's show. Seth Rollins vs. Kane was a no-contest Dolph Ziggler & Neville d. Sheamus & Bad News Barrett Naomi d. Natalya Ryback d. Rusev by DQ Kofi Kingston d. Cesaro Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose d. Seth Rollins & Luke Harper Here are four ups and four downs from this week's Smackdown.
