5 Austin Aries Matches All WWE Fans Must See

Here's some homework to do before his TV arrival next month.

The influx of talent continues to flow into NXT, as yet another former TNA and RoH champion is on his way to the yellow brand. Austin Aries was introduced to the brand by General Manager William Regal at the latest set of tapings, and was subsequently attacked by Baron Corbin to spark off what I can only assume will be some serious beef between the two. With all the hoopla surrounding the signings of AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura, Aries flew under the radar a little. This isn't to say that A Double should be underestimated of course, as the 15-year professional has long proved himself one of the most talented performers in all of North American pro graps. Aries arrives in NXT having spent the better part of the last five years in TNA. After a fairly forgettable first run with the company between 2005 and 2007 Aries returned in 2011 and would embark on a career defining run, winning all there was to win in the company. Aries has also experienced great success in Ring of Honor, winning the heavyweight championship of the company on two occasions, becoming the first man to win the title on more than one occasion. It was his second run in ROH between TNA jaunts that Aries really made his name as one of the biggest stars on the independent scene. As such, there are a plethora of Austin Aries matches one should seek out in order to learn more about this fantastically talented performer. Here are five of the best.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
