Love hurts.

Love scars.

Love works the marks.

The timing of John Cena and Nikki Bella's break-up is as suspicious as Big Match John's STF. Cena allegedly adjusted his attitude towards marriage and children just weeks before the wedding ceremony in a case of cold feet designed, you have to suspect, to extract maximum Total Bellas drama. The internet was split in its opinions of the split; some were saddened at Cena's timing - aren't we all, given how miraculously he recovers from massive in-ring punishment? - whereas others were quick to blast Nikki for thinking she could "change" a man previously inflexible to change.

The guy reneged on his criticisms of The Rock by following him to Hollywood, and tends to add a terrible move to his repertoire every other year before realising he can't hit a springboard stunner to save his life. The man is capable of change. Or was. Nikki probably witnessed John wrestling brilliant matches with AJ Styles with a soaring heart, before watching his "work" opposite Baron Corbin with her head in her hands.

In a very recent development, Nikki has diffused those rumours by maintaining that it was her decision. She didn't want a "pity husband", per People.

It's almost as if WWE wants you to watch Total Bellas to find out the real dirt!
