Izzy, Bayley's Superfan, is set to appear on a Punk Pro Wrestling card this weekend, which isn't really newsworthy in itself; she already plays a heel for certain Florida chancer promotions, and wrestling is more banter-fied than ever before. What's strange - or, deeply f*cking troubling - is that her parents either don't vet her social media activity, or failed to see the problem with the video she posted to promote her appearance.

"So stop by, get a hug, get some #IzzyMania merch, and I'll see you guys there."

"Get a hug."

Giving grown men an excuse to hug their minor daughter in public is questionable parenting. Even if common sense somehow isn't enough, a cursory Google search confirms that Florida is within the top 10 U.S. states in terms of most sex offenders per 1,000 people (3.17). There's worse than Skinner lurking in those swamps. The recent BritWres scandals confirm that there are more predators in the Indies than kickpads, too. If Chris Hansen isn't the special guest referee on that show, something is drastically wrong.

As disgraceful was Joey Janela's reaction to the news, pictured, in which he bemoaned the state of the industry as if he were Jim Cornette, and not a guy who takes apron-first senton bumps. "This is what the business is coming too (sic)?" he wrote, as if he hadn't booked Glacier in 2017, thus contributing more than most to the inside joke that is the fringes of the Independent scene.
