It was an insane week for Jim Cornette. As in, more insane than usual.

During a Bruce Prichard live show, his hatred of Vince Russo consumed him to such an extent that he felt compelled to get his d*ck out and simulate urinating over a cardboard cutout of his head. How can you not love him? He also resumed his 2005 feud with Santino Marella at the XICW Cobo Legends Convention this weekend.

The original programme centred around the Boogeyman, the mere sight of whom was meant to inspire terror in everybody. Marella, a new recruit to Ohio Valley Wrestling’s goof class, did not react appropriately to the angle. This sparked a conniption fit within Cornette, who proceeded to drag Marella backstage and slap him silly. This act saw Cornette fired from his role as WWE developmental consultant, which was fair. The tension obviously still exists, given that fan footage captured a heated argument between the two men in Detroit. Cornette, to his eternal credit, stood his ground and refused to alter his opinion of Marella even in the face of a potentially a**-kicking, putting paid to the idea that he would never repeat his vitriol in the face of his enemies. Of course he would. He is a lunatic.

With Russo and Marella put to rights, he only need criticise Kenny Omega on Twitter to complete the hat-trick. He’s probably already done it today, let’s be honest.
