5 New Booking Directions For Former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal

4. US Title Pursuit

Nobody really knows what the future holds for the US Title after it was left abandoned in middle of the ring last week by an irate Dolph Ziggler, who gave his biggest indication yet that he may about to call it quits.

This could be a massive work, of course, but nothing about the first week of Ziggler's reign suggests to us that he's going to be holding the belt for anything more than a fleeting moment - which means that WWE will likely be crowning a new champion within the next month or so.

It's obviously too late for Jinder, a former WWE Champion, to take what we might refer to as a more formal route to the main event, but stepping out of the main event and pursuing a nominal secondary belt has certainly done little harm to the career of The Miz, for example.

The fact is that, for now at least, Jinder's skill-set - modest (if improving) ability in the ring, a half-decent (if super repetitive) promo and a retrograde gimmick the creative team is hell-bent resurrecting - is much better suited to the mid-card, where he could put on solid matches alongside the likes of Bobby Roode and Tye Dillinger.
