5 OVW Stars That WWE Wasted

ovw Back in 2006-2007 Ohio Valley Wrestling was the developmental territory for World Wrestling Entertainment. They had a plethora of great talent that unfortunately never got called up to the big leagues. Why? I don€™t know. They seemed to posses a lot of attributes that the WWE looks for. Some of these men actually got called up and were used very disappointingly. I always wonder what happens with the developmental territories the WWE has had over the past few years. Why do they call up certain people when it is clear that there are better wrestlers than them? Why call up people if you just plan to not use them. Take for instance Eric Escobar. He had been employed by the WWE since 2005 and they finally called him up in 2009. He was on TV for maybe two-three months? And then they fired him. Another example is Hade Vansen. He had one vignette on an episode of Smackdown and that was it. Not another vignette, not a debut match, they just fired him. Kizarny is another example. They spent months setting up his debut only to have him wrestle two matches. I don€™t understand the workings of calling people up. Then, when they call them up and it doesn€™t work, they fire them. Why not send them back down to development to work on their gimmick? It worked for Damien Sandow. Idol Stevens didn€™t work out being McCool€™s teacher€™s pet and WWE fired him. They later rehired him and gave him a new gimmick. Now, he€™s one of, if not the most entertaining superstar on the roster. These are a few superstars that I feel WWE wasted. Whether it was WWE not calling them up and having them stay in OVW, or WWE calling them up and then wasting them. I enjoyed the work of all of these stars and always saw potential in everything these guys did. From their in-ring work to their mic work, I thought these guys had what it took. So, please click €œNext€ and begin this journey of forgotten and wasted talent.
