9. Negative: New Day Being Fast-Tracked

Just as Lana has been fast-tracked to the women’s title, the New Day find themselves jumping right to the front of the queue to challenge for the Usos’ Tag Team Championships.

It’s understandable as to why; they’re arguably one of the most over acts in the company. But given that they’ve only just been drafted to SmackDown, giving them a title shot right off the bat kind of undermines the rest of the division.

Plus, it could all be seen as a case of too much too soon. If they’re just going to ride in and go for the championships so quickly, what else is left for them to do in the long-term?

The New Day are so over that they don’t necessarily need to be in the tag title picture to be relevant, and so it may have made more sense to keep them away from the Usos for the time being and instead have them work with an underused team, like American Alpha, perhaps.
