It's common knowledge nowadays that WWE's Raw is typically a tedious, three hour slog to sit through each week. Following the divisive Raw Reunion last week, this episode had to be a success. Without a shadow of a doubt, it was the greatest episode of Raw so far in 2019, and possibly even the best episode of the last few years.

Coming into Monday night's episode, the advertised matches and angles made it seem like any old edition of the show. Another chapter added to 2018's neverending rivalry of Seth Rollins vs. Dolph Ziggler, a Gauntlet Match to decide United States Champion AJ Styles' challenger for SummerSlam, a Samoan Summit between Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe, and more were all hyped up on social media prior to the show.

Aside from that tantalising Gauntlet Match, it's safe to say the majority of fans weren't overly invested in watching. Those who did give it their attention will be telling those who didn't to get it watched. There were few terrible moments and even then, the bad sections of the show were outweighed by the positive highlights of the night. That's a rarity for an episode of Raw nowadays.

The episode checked all the boxes as the road to SummerSlam rolls on. But what specifically made the three hours so special?
