5 Ups & 1 Down From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Oct 11)

Ups...

5. A Flippy Affair

One of Impact's primary assets over the years has been the X Division, their answer to the cruiserweight division with - usually - the best match(es) of any Impact show. It's the X Division that holds Impact's only five star match to date, after all.

The opening contest of this week's Impact was a high-paced contest featuring Petey Williams, Trevor Lee, Jack Evans, and the up and coming Puma King. It's the style of wrestling you would see the X Division names of the past putting on and, although it looks a bit random on paper given it is just four guys going at it for no apparent reason, it could very well be used to help determine the next contender to Brian Cage's X Division Championship.

After some intense action, it was Petey who walked out the victor, which makes sense seeing as he's a pioneer for the division and one of two full-time Impact roster members that were in the match. Let's face it, Trevor Lee won't be getting too far in Impact. Nothing on his part though - his booking hasn't been the best.

Before Petey calls it a day, one last run as champ would be a nice touch as a way of saying thank you to the Canadian Destroyer.
