5 Ups & 4 Downs From Last Night's Impact Wrestling (Mar 15)

Downs...

4. Get High, Don't Wrestle

When it was first revealed that Dezmond Xavier would be joined in Impact by his Rascalz partners Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel, everyone rejoiced. It’s no secret that those are three of the greatest independent athletes in the world of wrestling today.

Have they been used effectively? To put it simply, no.

All they do these days is sit backstage and get high with an '80s-style laugh reel playing in the background. Even Moose couldn’t save this week’s segment. It’s baffling to see Impact doing this with them, especially when we get to see just how good they are in the ring when given the chance.

Granted, both the tag division and the X Division are a bit overrun at the moment with some wonderful talent so there won’t always be time to feature The Rascalz in action. That’s fair. But if you still want them on the show, have them do something meaningful as opposed to what they’re actually doing. There’s no need for these tedious segments.
