5 Ups & 5 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Apr 5)

Week after Against All Odds proves to be a mixed episode with Rebellion right around the corner.

A week removed from the Against All Odds special episode, Impact Wrestling were back this week with a rather mixed episode. You had some really excellent moments, and then you had some bits and pieces that were just entirely tedious to sit through.

The main thing to take from this episode was the continued excellent booking of the World Tag Team Championships rivalry between champions The Lucha Bros and challengers The LAX. Last week, it was both Pentagon Jr. and Fenix being slammed through tables but this week, it would be Santana who tasted the wood. 50/50 booking in a good way for a change.

Elsewhere throughout the two hour show, two new teams arrived in Impact in the form of The Deaners and The North (formerly known as The Monster Mafia), a new challenger was determined for Taya Valkyrie's Knockouts Championship, Tommy Dreamer stuck his nose into the beef between Rich Swann and Sami Callihan, and Kevin Sullivan dropped a bombshell secret on Rosemary. What a night, eh?

Rebellion is now just three weeks away. With the card starting to take shape, it's looking like quite an enjoyable evening of entertainment so far. Let's get to it...
