5 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night’s WWE Raw (Dec 8th)

So Dean Ambrose hangs out in smoky ambulances now?

This year's edition of the WWE Slammy Awards aired on Monday night from Greenville, South Carolina. The Slammy Award show has been held every year in the month of December since 2008. Prior to that, the Slammys started back in 1986 and were largely ignored throughout the 1990s and 2000s although there were a few years in there where they had them. It's a good idea for WWE to do an award show because it's a fun way to look back on the year that was. It would be better if they did it after the TLC PPV although they must have realized none of the other dates really worked for it. Voting for all of the awards appeared to be legitimate since they made fan voting available on WWE.com for some awards and on Monday it was WWE App only. All votes followed the same format where they would have a presenter come out, show videos of the nominees, then go to a break and reveal the winner. That meant that viewers had about five minutes to vote for these prestigious awards. Roman Reigns won the Superstar of the Year award, which has a lot of people questioning the legitimacy of the awards. The best way to look at it is by realizing we're talking about WWE and they are going to do what's best for their business. Since Reigns is going to be pushed huge in 2015, they want to make him look like the biggest star. He probably didn't get the most votes, but if they say it then that's how they want it to be. There's nothing we can do about it. For a list of all the winners from the Slammy Awards, we already covered it right here. Here's a look at five ups and five downs from this week's below average edition of Raw.
