Overall, Monday Night Raw felt a little limp this past week. Going up against numerous major sports games, it was also the Memorial Day edition of the show. Traditionally when up against it, WWE tend to deliver shows that can largely be considered throwaway.

For the most part, that was the case on Monday night, but fans who did tune in were treated to the stirring sight of AJ Styles turning heel. Attacking a returning John Cena, Styles is once again aligned with Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson as The Club.

That can only be considered a plus, there was no need to distance the trio from one another so quickly after uniting. There's also the added bonus that Gallows and Anderson are now set to challenge The New Day for the WWE Tag-Team Titles, probably at the upcoming Money In The Bank pay-per-view.

SmackDown continued the story, although there was no Cena on the show. Incredibly, both Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins were also absent, but SmackDown did feature a few killer matches to make up for that.

Let's look at the main 'ups' and 'downs' from this week's program...
