4. Rollins Weasels Way In

You can’t blame Seth Rollins for asking for an opportunity to compete for the WWE Universal Championship. He’s a former champ who just wants a shot.

But why would Kurt Angle go the route of holding a series of matches to determine who earns a slot in the Elimination Chamber (itself providing a title shot against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania), along with a second chance match on Monday, and then just give Rollins a slot in that second chance match? What did he do to earn that spot?

Why shouldn’t Sheamus or Cesaro get the same opportunity? Or even Goldust?

Yes, that last one was facetious. And really, we can’t fault Rollins, nor do we need to ask to see his CV. But asking the WWE Universe was more of an excuse than anything. Angle should have just done it as an apology for his son Jason Jordan costing Rollins the tag titles last week. At least that would have been plausible.
