There’s a very valid argument that WWE is burning its reunion of The Shield on a makeshift team rather than saving it for a major event and/or a major force that’s dominating WWE.

However, there definitely was something cool about hearing, “Sierra, Hotel, India, Echo, Lima, Delta… SHIELD” for the first time in more than three years on Monday night. And while many nostalgia acts are built on people remembering how “great” an act was by viewing them through rose-colored glasses, The Shield actually was a top act in WWE at the time they disbanded.

And while this reunion feels rushed and forced at the same time (which merits a negative point), we can still get caught up in the moment. It’s either sit on the sidelines and grumble that it isn’t perfect, or at least try to enjoy it a little.
