5 Ways WWE Network Is Worth Your Money (And 5 Ways It Isn't)

5. You€™ll Save Money On DVDs...

Wrestling Dvds Collecting Pro wrestling on DVD can be an expensive (and infuriating) pastime. For every €œYay! I just got a Japanese Tiger Mask box set!€ or €œFinally, Terry Funk€™s WrestleFest at a reasonable price!€ moments, there are a plethora of €œsh@t! No Supercard of Honor IV for me!€ or €œI€™m not paying twenty quid for some @$$hole€™s copied DVDs of Keiji Mutoh matches!€ Basically, if you regularly buy Attitude Era Pay Per Views, or WWE box sets on DVD/Blu Ray, your bank manager will thank you for ordering the WWE Network instead... You might still track down ROH or NJPW rarities on eBay, but the WWE Network will grant you access to a legitimate treasure trove of matches, including (but not limited to) WWF, WCW, ECW and AWA, which should keep you busy for, um, ever. If you think of the WWE Network as pro wrestling€™s equivalent of Netflix, you€™re definitely on the right track. Another way to look at it is this: if you€™re the sort of music fan that doesn€™t buy CDs because (s)he has Spotify, then just ignore the rest of this article and subscribe already...

I am a professional author and lifelong comic books/pro wrestling fan. I also work as a journalist as well as writing comic books (I also draw), screenplays, stage plays, songs and prose fiction. I don't generally read or reply to comments here on What Culture (too many trolls!), but if you follow my Twitter (@heyquicksilver), I'll talk to you all day long! If you are interested in reading more of my stuff, you can find it on http://quicksilverstories.weebly.com/ (my personal site, which has other wrestling/comics/pop culture stuff on it). I also write for FLiCK http://www.flickonline.co.uk/flicktion, which is the best place to read my fiction work. Oh yeah - I'm about to become a Dad for the first time, so if my stuff seems more sentimental than usual - blame it on that! Finally, I sincerely appreciate every single read I get. So if you're reading this, thank you, you've made me feel like Shakespeare for a day! (see what I mean?) Latcho Drom, - CQ
