5 Well Known UFC Fighters CM Punk Has Already Trained With

We already know some of the guys he's been rolling with!

One of the biggest keys to success in Phil "CM Punk" Brooks' move to the UFC is going to be who he trains with. Punk has been very vocal about the fact that he wants to find the right camp, and that he won't be cherry picking his partners. That's a smart idea: we've seen what happens when fighters get lazy about training or pick partners who take it easy on them. You wind up with a fighter lacking in this or that area of the MMA game - and in today's MMA scene, you need to have at least some level of experience in all areas, and a high level in several. While Punk hasn't announced a camp yet, he has stated that he isn't looking to travel long distances, but wants somewhere that will allow him to train twice a day in the gym. That's about the level most pro MMA fighters go at - twice daily training with a mix of disciplines and regimens. Now while that may sound like diva antics ("wah, I don't want to travel!"), in reality, it's not. In order to have the time to focus fully on training in MMA, Punk needs a base close by, otherwise he's wasting time commuting back and forth that could be spent on the gym. Not to mention that he has a wife to take into consideration. Although we don't know who Punk will ultimately end up training with in future, we do know who he's trained with so far. So here are five top level MMA fighters (actually, one is technically only an instructor, but still top level) that CM Punk has trained with so far. It may shed light on the sort of camp he'd be looking for in the long run.
