5 WWE Legends, Lies & Mistruths Revealed (And Debunked)

5. Kane Has Not Always Been Portrayed By Glen Jacobs

yankem kane For a wrestling historian such as myself listening to other fans waffle on about how there has been several different people portray the character of Kane - the demonic, masked brother of The Undertaker - really sticks in my craw. Just because the guy wears a mask doesn't mean the WWE chop and change the dude portraying him whenever they feel like it. This isn't TNA and Kane isn't Suicide. How many 300 plus pound seven foot tall wrestlers do you think are under contract in WWE? If so why haven't they been given their own gimmick? We know how much Vince likes a big man - so if there's a few guys who can perform like Glen Jacobs can at such a unique size then you can be damn sure McMahon and his cronies would have been pushing them as their own characters. The only time anyone else has ever portrayed the character is on WWE television for storyline purposes. The Undertaker himself dressed as Kane to play mind games with Vince McMahon and Drew Henkinson briefly portrayed him in a short lived storyline where Kane battled himself. It is worth noting however that when The Undertaker made his WWF début in 1990 he was briefly called Kane the Undertaker so that probably has helped this urban legend perpetuate.
