6 More WWE Stars Who Tried Out MMA

3. Dr. Death Steve Williams

Dr. Death was an absolute legend in the pro wrestling business, but unfortunately, his MMA career was over in little more than a blink of an eye. Twenty-two seconds, to be exact. While the late wrestler went undefeated for a decade during his pro wrestling career, and fought all over the world, his lone MMA fight, against kickboxer Alexey Ignashov, did not go well. He was knocked out in the first round, twenty-two seconds in, by a series of vicious knees to the head (Ignashov even attempted to throw in a soccer kick for good measure). It looked as if Williams was trying to shoot when the first knee connected, and really after the first one, it was all she wrote. The bout was held under the K-1 promotion, where Ignashov would fight all three of his bouts before opting to stick with kickboxing.
