As mentioned in the introduction, NXT currently has an immensely stacked roster. Those worrying that the brand was in long-term trouble following the 2016 WWE Draft have been proven unequivocally incorrect. WWE's continued raids on the independent scene means NXT has more great talent than it has time to use.

As of writing the following individuals have nothing to do at NXT TakeOver: Chicago: Drew McIntyre, Kassius Ohno, Andrade Almas, Aleister Black, Eric Young, Roderick Strong, Killian Dain, Heavy Machinery, and No Way Jose. Included in that list are a former IWGP Intercontinental Champion, a former ROH Champion, a former TNA Champion, and a former WWE Intercontinental Champion.

It is great that NXT has so much talent, but it is imperative that at least some of these guys make it onto the Chicago card. It looks as though SAnitY and Roderick Strong may well fill the fifth match gap - does that mean another six-man tag? Either way, NXT needs to manage this list of talent well.
