6 Ups & 2 Downs From Last Night's NXT (26 Feb)

Well, last week was weird.

Arguably NXT's weakest episode to date followed what was arguably it's best ever TakeOver, with various storylines not given the platform to breathe and less interesting narratives shoehorned in instead. Don't get me wrong, this was still NXT and still well worth the two hours of your life, but the incredibly high bar the show has set in recent months was just broadly not reached.

Hope springs eternal though, and since the move to the USA Network, the show has never posted two back-to-back underwhelmers. There's simply too much talent, too much drama, and too many possibilities for anything to be stagnant for too long and this week promised a banger main-event in the shape of Charlotte vs Belair.

Still though, with WrestleMania weekend edging ever nearer, and certain other promotions posting an absolute all-timer on another channel, the pressure was on for a return to form. Did they manage it? Let's take a look.
