As grizzled veteran Edge warned Becky Lynch not to let her underdog status define her and burn too many bridges in her prime, he looked lost in the moment. SmackDown 1000 was arguably the first time since retiring that Edge seemed intense, switched-on and enjoying his role. It was a throwback to days of old, and it rocked.

Younger fans haven't been privy to it, but there was a time when Edge was one of the best characters in WWE.
