DOWNS…

5. Does Anyone Care?

Throwing two guys who rarely get TV time and never get promo time into a match against each other is not a recipe for fans suddenly caring.

But that’s what WWE did Monday, pitting No Way Jose against Mojo Rawley. They had a fast-paced match, but it was dull, with nothing of note happening. Fans were silent (or sleeping, or getting nachos) and barely reacted to anything. Mojo took some punishment, then hit a chop block, a running fist and a press spike for the win.

Afterward, Rawley, who was wrestling only his second match on Raw since the Superstar Shakeup, said he is staying focused. Ooooookay.

Look, it’s gotta start somewhere, but we’ll believe it’s the start of something when something else happens next week.
